Kildrummy Inn has been welcoming guests since 1828. Tucked into the Aberdeenshire countryside near Alford, it carries nearly two centuries of history in its walls. From its early life as The Society House at Kildrummy, through generations of community gatherings and travelling guests, it has always been a place where people come to rest.
Kildrummy Inn brought Glencraft in to be part of that story.
Craft Meets Comfort
Working closely with their interior designer, we supplied our handcrafted Merida mattress to the Inn. It is built for exactly this kind of setting. Natural fillings, individually pocketed springs, and a finish that reflects the quiet elegance of countryside living.
Each room at the Inn has its own character. The Willows. Kinclune. Clochter. Dukestone. Guests wake to views over glens and woodland, with highland skies beyond the window. The mattress beneath them is designed to match that sense of stillness. Supportive, breathable, and made to last.
Heritage in Every Layer
The Merida is built layer by layer, in much the same way that Kildrummy has been built over time. Natural wool and horsehair help regulate temperature through Highland nights, which lean toward a crisp freshness even in summer. Individual pocket springs deliver support where it is needed, treating each pressure point with care. The result is a sleep surface that takes tradition seriously and delivers real comfort in return.
