The Birnam Hotel has stood in Dunkeld since the 1850s. Following almost two years of careful restoration, this much-loved building is being brought back to life, with a renewed appreciation for its history, its surroundings and the character of the place it calls home.
As part of this next chapter, Glencraft will supply their handmade mattresses and bespoke beds for the hotel’s individually designed bedrooms. It is a partnership that brings together two Scottish stories, connected by a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, heritage and the details that make a stay memorable.

The Birnam Hotel is rooted in the land, people and culture of Perthshire. Inspired by the ancient woodland, the winding River Tay and the creative spirit of the village, its restoration looks to preserve the character of the past while creating something distinctive for the future.
The bedrooms are being thoughtfully designed, with handpicked Scottish treasures, textiles and considered details that reflect the surrounding landscape. Each room will have its own character, bringing together the history of the building and the comforts expected of a contemporary country hotel.
