Glencraft has handcrafted luxury mattresses in Aberdeen since 1843. As a Royal Warrant holder and not for profit social enterprise, we bring together traditional techniques, natural materials, and a commitment to meaningful employment. With over 180 years of tradition, every Glencraft mattress is handcrafted in Aberdeen by skilled artisans. Using natural fillings loke wool, cotton, alpaca, horsehair, silk, and cashmere, we create breathable, durable sleep surfaces that reflect generations of expertise and care.

In 1996, we were honored with a Royal Warrant from Her Majesty the Queen. That legacy continues today, as Glencraft proudly holds a Royal Warrant from His Majesty the King, recognising our dedication to sustainable, lasting quality. We work closely with every customer to find the right fit from bespoke sizing to preferred comfort level. Each mattress is handcrafted to precise specifications using breathable natural fibres that support restorative sleep and enduring comfort.

Founded with a mission to provide opportunity through craftsmanship, Glencraft remains committed to empowering individuals with visual impairments, or other significant barriers to employment, to build careers in luxury manufacturing. Every mattress supports meaningful employment and helps us deliver lasting impact for both our customers and our community.
In 2025, Glencraft was awarded a Royal Warrant by His Majesty the King, a recognition of excellence in product quality, environmental care, and social impact. This honour builds on the original Warrant first granted by Her Majesty the Queen in 1996 and held continually since.
We are also proud recipients of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity 2021 recognising our role in supporting inclusive employment through high quality craft.
