Princess Louise, daughter of King Edward VII, led a life of quiet strength and artistic sensibility. After marrying the first Duke of Fife, Alexander Duff, she settled at nearby Mar Lodge, finding solace in the rugged beauty of the surrounding landscape. The suite named in her honour is a thoughtful interpretation of her personal style and connection to nature.
Designed with a subtle, feminine charm, the suite combines historical elements with a soft, natural palette. A striking nineteenth-century Scottish four-poster bed anchors the room, complimented by dusky pink damask walls and finely detailed floral artworks by Archibald Thorburn. A freestanding copper bath, set against hand-painted leafy details, adds a sense of calm and understated luxury.
